PROJECT 1: Get-To-Know Artist Exploration of Info Graphic

FIRST DAY OF THE FIRST CLASS OF OUR INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT (1) LECTURE, ALL OF US WERE GIVEN AN ARTIST WHICH IS DECIDED BY OUR LECTURER, AND WE NEED TO DO AS MUCH RESEARCH AS WE CAN THROUGH READING HIS BOOKS, THE INTERNET, INTERVIEW FACE-TO-FACE, OR THROUGH E-MAIL, ETC.
I WAS GIVEN AN ARTIST NAMED ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA WHICH I CAN FEEL THAT HE IS AN INTERESTING ARTIST THAT I REALLY HOPE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM. SO THROUGH THE RESEARCHING OF HIS BACKGROUND AND WORKS, I REALLY GAINED A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE ON HOW HE ACTUALLY DEVELOP HIS FABULOUS WORKS THAT MAKES PEOPLE ADMIRE HIS WORKS.
NEXT, THE WAY HOW HE MANAGES HIS TIME IN ORDER TO FINISH HIS WORK ON TIME. AND, HOW HE DISCOVER NEW THINGS AND GET INSPIRATION BY THE THINGS, PEOPLES, AND BUILDINGS AROUND HIM IN ORDER FOR HIM TO DESIGN HIS WORKS.
TO BE HONEST, AFTER DOING ALL THE RESEARCH AND GET TO REALLY KNOW DEEPLY ABOUT HIM, I FOUND THAT I REALLY ADMIRE ALL OF HIS WORKS ON HOW HE ACTUALLY TWIST THE MODEL. THE WORKS HE HAD DONE WERE ALL WELL-CALCULATED AND WELL-ESTIMATED WITH ALL THE PRICE, SIZE, AND SHAPE.
HE STARTS HIS WORK ON THE YEAR 1991, DURING THAT TIME, HE IS STILL AN UNFAMOUS ARTIST. BUT BY THE FLOWING OF THE TIMES AND ALL OF HIS STRUGGLES, HE IS NOW A VERY FAMOUS ARTIST IN MALAYSIA. THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT TO BUY HIS WORKS AND WANT TO CO-ORDINATE WITH HIM FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECT.
LASTLY, I REALLY ADMIRE ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA, HE IS A PERSON FULL OF HIS OWN POTENTIAL AND HE IS ALSO A PERSON WITH BIG DREAM, AND NOW STILL CONTINUE PURSUING TO ACHIEVE HIS ANOTHER BIGGEST DREAM OF HIM, THAT I HAVE REALLY A LOT NEED TO LEARN FROM HIM.
PROJECT 2: Inter [ACTIVE] Artist Essential Exploration of Function and Design Ideas

IN PROJECT 2, WE WERE ASSIGNED TO DESIGN A " PORTABLE TOOL BOX " FOR OUR OWN ARTIST BASED ON THE INVENTORIES HE USUALLY USES AND THE ESSENTIAL THINGS, HABITS OF HIM.
I GAVE MY PORTABLE TOOL BOX A NAME CALLED SWIRTWIST. IT IS A COMBINATION OF "SWIRL" AND "TWIST", WHICH IS THE PROMINENT WORKS DURING ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA'S SOLO EXHIBITION ACHIEVEMENT. BOTH OF THE WORKS ARE ALSO MY MOST FAVOURITE WORKS DONE BY HIM.
WE NEED TO DECIDE ALL THE MEASUREMENTS, SIZE, AND SHAPE OF OUR TOOLBOX THAT IS EASILY FOR HIM TO BRING IT EVERYWHERE, SO THAT HE CAN DO HIS WORKS WHEREVER HE GOES AND WHENEVER HE WANTS AS LONG AS THE TOOLBOx IS WITH HIM.
MY TOOLBOX INCLUDE EXPAND, ROTATION, AND SLIDING. IT IS ALSO A LUGGAGE BECAUSE HE HAS A BIG AND HEAVY INVENTORY ( GRINDER ) THAT HE USED TO SCREW HIS METALS, THEN I DESIGNED IT LIKE A LUGGAGE SO THAT HE CAN EASILY BE CARRYING IY EVERYWHERE.
AFTER EXPLORING THE IDEAS AND FUNCTION, WE WERE ASSIGNED TO DO A SCALE 1:1 MOCK UP MODEL OF OUR PORTABLE TOOLBOX.
PROJECT 3: Living + Working SM[ART]
Expression of Space
BALCONY
In the third assignment, each and every one of us were given 3 containers to design a smart living and working environment for our artist. One container of [ (12000m(L) x3000m(W) x 3000m(H) ] Two containers of [ (6000m(L) x 3000m(W) x 3000m(H) ]. Before we started to design a house for our artist. Firstly, we need to know what spaces do they need and what spaces are suitable for their lifestyle so that they can live comfortably. My site is located at the UMW Motor Toyota ss16 nearby Empire Shopping Gallery.
There are altogether 7 spaces in the house.
1) Pantry
2) Workplace
3) Bedroom
4) Toilet
5) Library
6) Gallery
7) Garden
( First 3 prominent spaces for the artist )
My artist is ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA. I knew that he loves reading, and he is a craftsman who likes to do a lot of art work especially metal art. So, I extended a very unique and huge space of library for him so that he can do his reading in the library. As most of his inspiration is from all the big and tall buildings. I designed the library to be open which is exposed to outside.
So whenever he is lacking of idea, he can get inspiration by looking at all the building and also by reading the books in the library.
The book shield also provides seat for guest and for the rest of the book shield in the library. Each and every one of them is provided a ladder stick with the book shield which is movable so that when people want to take the book which is being placed on top, they are free to use the ladder to get the book the wants. But there's for sure some t&c for the usage of the ladder, for kids below 14 are not allowed to use it so that they have to ask for someone to help them in order to ensure the safety. It is also provided a discussion area in the corner of the library.
This is another view from the library. In this view. As you can see there's a very long bench. The main purpose for this long bench is that more people can have seat and enjoy their reading in the library. This is The compact design in the library.
People can also enjoy all the beautiful view from this area in the library.
Next, I also designed him a gallery which is the [ 12000m(L) x 3000m(W) x 3000m(H) ] container.
Inside the gallery, he put most of his prominent, small and famous art works. There’s also a lot of the history of ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA which is stick on top of the ceiling.
Furthermore, the last prominent space for ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA is a huge and wide exterior spaces for him to do all the laser cutting. So, in this house, there’s a very wide space outside so when all the workers of ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA come and help him, the space is big and comfy enough for them to do their artwork. Besides for working on the exterior wide spaces, usually, when there’s event, the exterior empty spaces are for him to put all the huge artwork.
However, among all the spaces listed above, it’s separated into private space and public space.
There’s gallery, library and garden are the private space that whoever guest and everyone can be freely entered in these 3 spaces.

My jury on the day of presentation is MR. EDWIN who listened to my presentation patiently and give me much comments so that i can improve my work.

This is the end of my semester 2, i would like to give much thanks to my tutor Mr.Romzi and Ms.Aida who taught me a lot of new things patiently, guide me throughout the whole semester, give me a lot of advice of what "to do" and "not to do". Without the both of you i wouldn't complete my semester 2. And also my classmates who give me advises when i faced any difficulties on creating something creative. Thank you for listening to me and give me so much golden advises.
